LiberateSkills Pact for Skills
April 9, 2025

LiberateSkills Pact for Skills (registered under number 248 / Permanent secretariat hosted by the Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning, Timisoara Romania) is an initiative dedicated to enhancing the professional development and training of individuals working within the correctional justice system, coming from the perspective of public employment policy at the intersection with civil society and education. As a key component of the broader European Union’s Pact for Skills, our mission is to foster a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement tailored to the unique needs of correctional professionals practicing education in the correctional ecosystem.
The European Union’s Pact for Skills is a central part of the European Skills Agenda, aiming to mobilize public and private entities to collectively support upskilling and reskilling efforts across various sectors. Our LiberateSkills Pact aligns with this vision by focusing on the correctional environment, addressing the critical need for specialized training and educational resources especially in professionalising the educational practices and bringing at the forefront the correctional pedagogy concepts. Our mission is to foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and collaborative engagement among all stakeholders involved in correctional services, further beyond the justice and the prison gates.
