On 2 December 2025, the Albanian partners, Universiteti Luarasi – Luarasi University, the Mediterranean University of Albania, and the Center for Juvenile and Youth Crime Prevention (Ministry of Justice), met online to validate the juvenile-justice occupational profiles within CORE-ED ACADEMY. Partners aligned competences and agreed on practical training pathways for key roles.

The CORE-ED Academy workshop, hosted by the West University of Timișoara, brought together educators, psychologists, social workers, institutional representatives, and civil society actors to co-design a new, multidimensional approach to correctional pedagogy. Albania’s first DACUM workshop under the EU-funded CORE-ED ACADEMY project brought together academics, probation officers, prison educators and NGOs to map the exact skills a “pedagogy-first” juvenile-justice workforce needs. The resulting DACUM chart will feed straight into new university courses and up-skilling programmes launching next year.
